This is DJ Flip on the airwaves. I want you to know I’m back and very much alive. I thank everybody for their concerns. I want to thank all of my friends for saving me and bringing me home. I thank God for each and everyone of you.

Amarah heard Flip on the radio driving from the grocery store. She could tell that Flip wasn’t the same and neither was she. Amarah, Flip, Domino, and Shelly were now known everywhere by everyone but was respected.

Amarah stopped by the radio station to see Flip. She brought him lunch on his lunch break.

Amarah: So how are you, Flip?

Flip: I still don’t feel so good, but a little better than yesterday.

Amarah: Good! Keep eating. I know you like salad. So I bought you salad.

DJ Flip was scared. He said: I thought I was going to lose you. Now I know why you didn’t want to go to Egypt. I thought Bazel was going to kill you!

Amarah: I was worried that he would kill you too and Domino in the ring. That’s why I showed up. I knew you’d be in trouble.

DJ Flip: Promise me you’ll never go back to Egypt. Never do a concert there. Please don’t back there. There is nothing good there for you.

DJ Flip feared what Bazel thought about doing to Amarah. His eyes were watery and read.Amarah held Flip’s hand.

Amarah: Don’t worry Flip. I won’t go back. You won’t lose me.

DJ Flip: I lost you before when we were friends in high school. It was the worst feeling. You were my best friend. I needed you.

Amarah thought: Maybe that’s part of the problem. He lost me before. All those years I hid away from those bad guys.

Amarah began to understand DJ Flip more and more. Most of the time while he was talking, she learned to stay silent. Amarah thought long and hard. Two men had been hurting over her. Since DJ Flip was starting to be open with her, she thought she would be a little more open with him.

She asked him: You love me, don’t you Flip?

DJ Flip just tried to hide his tears. Amarah knew he was sometimes shy about certain things she’d ask him. He had never been in a relationship before. That’s some of what made her love him all over the other guys. She knew he was lonely. None of the other guys shedded tears & had a heart for her the way Flip did. Amarah knew from Flip’s diary that there had been other things that went on in his life that she wasn’t around to see. But he didn’t know as much about her.

Amarah said: You know, I ain’t no Angel Flip. You know what, let’s talk later. Your break will soon be over. Eat!

When Amarah & DJ Flip we’re through eating, it was time for Flip to go back to work and Amarah had to leave. But Amarah didn’t go to where she was supposed to go. She went home with a lot on her mind. Amarah knew that she had hurt Flip by leaving him from the beginning. She didn’t want to hurt him again. She could see how bad Bazel was hurting. Amarah had an affect on both men, but Domino Storm was strong, and went on to date Shelly, Amarah’s friend.

Amarah thought a bought the affair she once had with Bazel a few years after her career traveling on the road. DJ Flip had questioned Amarah and wanted to know if she still had feelings for him. But Amarah would always avoid the question & didn’t want to talk about Bazel. She wanted to share her feelings that she had for him. Amarah felt sure that she wouldn’t go back to Bazel. After the visit to Egypt,Amarah felt exhausted thinking about two men including Domino Storm.

About a week later, DJ Flip went to visit Amarah one evening. Somehow Amarah knew he would come. She could always feel things about him. Amarah opened the door for him to let him in.

She said: I’m upstairs watching television. C’mon.

Flip hesitated and said: I don’t know Amarah .I won’t stay. I just stop by to thank you for being my best friend.

Amarah took a step down from the stairs and leaned on the handrail.

Amarah: You’re welcome,Flip, and thank you for being my best friend. Why don’t you come up with me?

Flip said looking around: Well, I don’t know.

Amarah went down the stairs and took Flip by the hand, and they went upstairs to her room. She shut the door behind her.

DJ Flip swallowed hard and asked: Don’t you want to leave the door open?

Amarah: Na, the heat is on. I want to keep it in. Maybe later.

Amarah had a chair in her room. She asked Flip to sit down as she sat on the bed.

Amarah: So why aren’t you at the radio station? You usually get off at night.

Flip: I just wanted to call it quits early today.

Amarah sort of acted as if she wasn’t really interested in Flip. She began to Flip the TV channels on the remote control.

Flip was very nervous because he wanted to tell Amarah something.

Flip: I really just wanted to see you today because….

Flip hung his head. He couldn’t finish his sentence because Amarah was starring at him looking in the mirror near her television. Without his beard, she thought he was the most handsome man alive. Amarah turned off her television set. She gave Flip her full attention.

Amarah: Say what you need to say Flip.

Flip: Do you remember in fifth grade when you asked me to kiss you, and I never got the chance because the teacher walked behind the building and caught us?

Amarah: Yea, I remember that Flip. You remember that?

Flip: Yes, I never forgot about that.

When DJ Flip was about to say more, his phone began to ring, and it was Miss Grady. When he was finished talking with Miss Grady he said: Well, I got to go. Miss Grady needs my help.

Amarah didn’t move and said: Alright Flip. Well come back to see me soon.

When Flip passed Amarah to go towards the door, Amarah had a sly look on her face. DJ Flip tried to open the door and the door wouldn’t open. Amarah knew who DJ Flip was and how he was. She knew his feelings were getting stronger for her, and she figured he wanted to kiss her. DJ Flip was nervous of Amarah. His hands began to sweat trying to open the door. Amarah had an electronic Digital Door lock. Finally she got up to let Flip out of the room.

Amarah: I’m sorry Flip. I forgot that I had the locks changed on the doors.

Flip: Would it be okay to come back tomorrow?

Amarah: Yea, it will be okay but you got to kiss me before in let you in.

Flip stopped in the door way and turned around and looked into Amarah’s eyes. He said: You’re teasing.

Amarah: Flip, I wasn’t teasing in fifth grade. Amarah knew Flip was worried. She had read part of his diary and found out that he had never kissed a girl. She lowered her voice and said: I’m not teasing you now Flip. I want to kiss you.

DJ Flip slowly gave Amarah a warm and long kiss. His kiss told Amarah everything, and her kiss told him everything.
