The Living Full Out show encourages you to share personal heartbreaks with others and lift yourself up. Maybe you've dealt with a lot of grief and it left you hopeless. Perhaps you feel you are alone and that your world is crumbling beneath your feet. Join Nancy as she discusses how to be courageous and open up about past distress.

Our first caller Leigh wonders what should you do when a person is too emotional and how you don't get wrapped up in their feelings? Nancy advises her to stick to a simple script and let the other person know that they are being heard even if you disagree with them. Nancy also says to Leigh that if someone is ranting to her and she feels overwhelmed it is OK to stand up for herself and make sure this person can't clutter her mind with a toxic mindset. Tune in to discover how unbottling emotions can lead to more productive conversations.

Our inspirational guest Barbara Legare comes on and shares with us how many different heartbreaks shaped her. Barbara's first loss was at 15 when her father passed away of lung cancer which led her to seek comfort in drugs, drinking, and boys. In her early years she became pregnant which led her to having two abortions. She then gave birth to her son Keven. At a young age, Keven felt disconnected and awkward and was diagnosed with severe anxiety. One day, Barbara's life changed when Keven committed suicide while she went downstairs. To honor Keven's legacy she wrote a book to show what depression and suicidal thoughts look like and support others through the same thing. Tune in to discover how Barbara found purpose through her traumas.

Perhaps you feel defeated from the obstacles in your life. Try to open up about past grief with others to lift you up and feel connected. Being courageous truly represents what it means to live full out.
