Uncle John looks back at the career of "America's Oldest Teenager", who died on this day in 2013 at the age of 82.

FYI: American Bandstand started out as a local show in Philadelphia, simply called Bandstand. In 1957, five years after Bandstand's launch, ABC picked it up and renamed it American Bandstand, running it through 1987. The show then switched to first-run syndication, abruptly ending in June 1988. Less than a year later, USA Network picked it up, with comedian David Hirsch taking over hosting duties, though Dick Clark remained executive producer. Its final show aired on October 7, 1989, the 37th anniversary of the show's premiere.
