December 30: Majestic and Compassionate.
Psalm 146:5-10:
"Happy is he who has the God of Jacob for his help, whose hope is in the Lord his God, who made heaven and earth, the sea, and all that is in them; who keeps truth forever, who executes justice for the oppressed, who gives food to the hungry. The Lord gives freedom to the prisoners. The Lord opens the eyes of the blind; the Lord raises those who are bowed down; the Lord loves the righteous. The Lord watches over the strangers;
He relieves the fatherless and widow; but the way of the wicked He turns upside down. The Lord shall reign forever— your God, O Zion, to all generations. Praise the Lord!"

This psalm is about faith, hope and encouragement to put trust in the Lord. Describe God and all the ways He has displayed His power and glory. It starts from the highest and most majestic to the lowest and most humble. From the creation of the universe to reaching where the sick and the helpless are to heal and help them.
These works of greatness and compassion are described specifically in the scriptures of the prophets, that when the Messiah is revealed, He would do all these works of compassion and mercy in a world full of injustice. These prophecies were fulfilled when Jesus Christ came and did all these works.
When John the Baptist sent to ask if Jesus was the Messiah, Jesus responded saying: "Tell John the things you see. The blind see, the lame jump, the leper is healed, the oppressed are freed and the helpless are comforted with the message of the good news of salvation! "
When you are in a situation adverse or you feel lost, remember that our God is so great and powerful that He dwells for eternity and is the same One who reaches the most broken heart and the desolate soul. So high is He that the heavens cannot contain Him and, at the same time, He is willing to fill your heart and saturate your home with His presence. That is our God and Savior Jesus Christ.


Psalms 147:1-11:
Praise the Lord! For it is good to sing praises to our God; for it is pleasant, and praise is beautiful. The Lord builds up Jerusalem; He gathers together the outcasts of Israel. He heals the brokenhearted and binds up their wounds. He counts the number of the stars; He calls them all by name. Great is our Lord, and mighty in power;
His understanding is infinite. The Lord lifts up the humble; He casts the wicked down to the ground. Sing to the Lord with thanksgiving; sing praises on the harp to our God, who covers the heavens with clouds, who prepares rain for the earth, who makes grass to grow on the mountains. He gives to the beast its food, and to the young ravens that cry. He does not delight in the strength of the horse; He takes no pleasure in the legs of a man. The Lord takes pleasure in those who fear Him, in those who hope in His mercy.

This psalm is similar to the one we just studied. Likewise, it describes the power of God, who knows each star in the sky, who programmed the cycle on earth so that there are continual rains and the earth produces fruit, who sustains all creation.
Therefore, the Lord delights and rejoices, not in the power of man or his armies, but in the one who is broken to heal him, who has a humble heart and trusts in Him, who recognizes that only God is his provider, protector and refuge in times of despair.
Don't forget to recognize the Lord in everything you undertake, in the purposes of your life, so that each of the members of your household learn to always depend on the Lord and not on their strength. That is what a true worshiper means.

Diciembre 30: Majestuoso y Compasivo.

Salmos 146:5‭-‬10 RVA2015:
“Bienaventurado aquel cuya ayuda es el Dios de Jacob, cuya esperanza está puesta en el SEÑOR su Dios; quien hizo los cielos, la tierra, el mar y todo lo que en ellos hay; quien guarda la verdad para siempre; quien hace justicia a los oprimidos y da pan a los hambrientos. El SEÑOR suelta a los prisioneros; el SEÑOR abre los ojos a los ciegos; el SEÑOR levanta a los que han sido doblegados; el SEÑOR ama a los justos. El SEÑOR guarda a los forasteros; sostiene al huérfano y a la viuda pero trastorna el camino de los impíos. El SEÑOR reinará para siempre; tu Dios, oh Sion, de generación en generación. ¡Aleluya!”

Este salmo es de fe, esperanza y ánimo para poner la confianza en el Señor. Describe a Dios y todas las formas en las que Él ha mostrado su poder y gloria. Comienza desde lo más alto y majestuoso hasta lo más bajo y humilde. Desde la creación del universo hasta llegar a donde está el enfermo y el desamparado para sanarlo y socorrerlo.
Estas obras de grandeza y compasión están descritas específicamente en las escrituras de los profetas, que cuando el Mesías se manifestara, Él haría todas esas obras de compasión y misericordia en un mundo lleno de injusticias. Estas profecías se cumplieron cuando Jesucristo vino y e hizo todas estas obras.
Cuando Juan el Bautista envió a preguntar si Jesús era el Mesías, Jesús respondió diciendo: “Díganle a Juan las cosas que ven. ¡Los ciegos ven, el cojo salta, el leproso es sanado, los oprimidos son liberados y los desamparados son consolados con el mensaje de las buenas nuevas de salvacion!”
Cuando estés en una situacion adversa o te sientas perdido, recuerda que nuestro Dios es tan grande y poderoso que habita por eternidad y es el mismo que llega hasta el corazón más destrozado y el alma desolada. Tan alto es Él que los cielos no lo pueden contener y, a la misma vez, está dispuesto a llenar tu corazón y saturar tu hogar con su presencia. Ese es nuestro Dios y Salvador Jesucristo.


Salmos 147:1‭-‬11 RVA2015:
“¡Aleluya! Ciertamente es bueno cantar salmos a nuestro Dios; ciertamente es agradable y bella la alabanza. El SEÑOR edifica a Jerusalén y reúne a los dispersados de Israel. Sana a los quebrantados de corazón y venda sus heridas. Cuenta el número de las estrellas; a todas ellas llama por su nombre. Grande es el Señor nuestro, y de mucho poder; su entendimiento es infinito. El SEÑOR ayuda a los humildes pero a los impíos humilla hasta el suelo. Canten al SEÑOR con acción de gracias; canten con arpa a nuestro Dios. Él es el que cubre los cielos de nubes, el que prepara la lluvia para la tierra, el que hace que las colinas produzcan hierba. Da al ganado su alimento; y a las crías de los cuervos cuando gritan. No se deleita en la fuerza del caballo ni se complace en los músculos del hombre. El SEÑOR se complace en los que le temen y en los que esperan en su misericordia.”

Este salmo es parecido al que acabamos de estudiar. Igualmente, describe el poderío de Dios, que conoce cada estrella del firmamento, que programó el ciclo en la tierra para que continuamente haya lluvias y produzca fruto la tierra, el que sustenta a toda la creación.
Por eso, el Señor se deleita y se alegra, no del poder del ser humano ni de sus ejércitos, sino de aquel que está quebrantado para sanarlo, del que tiene un corazón humilde y confía en Él, del que reconoce que solamente Dios es su proveedor, su protector y su refugio en tiempos de desesperación.
No olvides reconocer al Señor en todo lo que emprendas, en los propósitos de tu vida, que cada uno de los miembros de tu hogar aprenda a depender siempre en el Señor y no en sus fuerzas. Eso es lo que significa un verdadero adorador.
