December 27: Mold me, transform me and deliver me from evil.

Psalm 140:1-8:
Deliver me, O Lord, from evil men; preserve me from violent men, who plan evil things in their hearts; they continually gather together for war. They sharpen their tongues like a serpent; the poison of asps is under their lips. Selah
Keep me, O Lord, from the hands of the wicked; preserve me from violent men, who have purposed to make my steps stumble. The proud have hidden a snare for me, and cords; they have spread a net by the wayside; they have set traps for me. Selah
I said to the Lord: “You are my God; hear the voice of my supplications, O Lord. O God the Lord, the strength of my salvation, You have covered my head in the day of battle. Do not grant, O Lord, the desires of the wicked; do not further his wicked scheme, lest they be exalted. Selah

Psalm 141:1-5:
Lord, I cry out to You; make haste to me! Give ear to my voice when I cry out to You. Let my prayer be set before You as incense, the lifting up of my hands as the evening sacrifice. Set a guard, O Lord, over my mouth;
keep watch over the door of my lips. Do not incline my heart to any evil thing, to practice wicked works with men who work iniquity; and do not let me eat of their delicacies. Let the righteous strike me; it shall be a kindness. And let him rebuke me; it shall be as excellent oil; let my head not refuse it. For still my prayer is against the deeds of the wicked.


Psalm 140 is difficult to read; not because it is hard to understand, but to think about the suffering that the psalmist was experiencing. He described a very difficult situation because he was being attacked in different ways. And they weren't attacks from people who were just talking bad about him; it was more than that, they wanted to destroy his life, they wanted him dead.
He called them violent people and made a description of them. For example, they made malicious plans to seek his downfall. They were shrewd, cunning to do evil and deceive to destroy.
That is why he put his trust in the Lord, crying out for His soon help.
Remember that we have an adversary who wants to kill, steal and destroy. The enemy of our souls wants you to fall into his deceptions so that your family is affected and divided. Don't allow him! Take refuge in the Rock of our salvation.

Psalm 141 is also a cry but different. It is a prayer for the Lord to mold him, affirm him, and make him a better believer. The psalmist presented his prayers with an attitude of humiliation as an offering and a pleasant smell to Him. One of the reasons we raise our hands to the Lord is because He sees your hands surrendered to His feet and God is pleased with it.
The psalmist also asked the Lord for prudence in speaking because he was aware that many of the problems we suffer are caused by a mouth that utters reckless words. Let us follow his example, so that we can be that beacon that guides the souls of our family, giving calm with our words in times of storm and fog.
In addition, the psalmist knew that the heart is inclined to evil, so he did not trust himself but prayed to the Lord to guide him, straighten his steps and correct him if for any reason he was deviating.
Let's follow his example by imitating this model of prayer if you want to be a good example for the members of your household, for those around you, and so that you always find God's grace and favor.

Consider this:
When someone wants to harm you, do you use your strength to fight back or do you allow the Lord to fight for you?
When you pray to God alone, do you ask Him to bless you or do you take time out to ask Him to examine you?

Diciembre 27: Moldéame, transfórmame y líbrame del mal.

Salmos 140:1‭-‬8 RVA2015:
Líbrame, oh SEÑOR, del hombre malo; guárdame del hombre violento. Ellos maquinan males en su corazón, y cada día entablan contiendas. Agudizan su lengua como una serpiente; veneno de víbora hay debajo de sus labios. Selah
Guárdame, oh SEÑOR, de manos del impío; protégeme del hombre violento, quienes han planeado trastornar mis pasos. Los arrogantes me han escondido trampa y cuerdas; han tendido red junto a la senda y me han puesto lazos. Selah
Dije al SEÑOR: “¡Tú eres mi Dios!”. Escucha, oh SEÑOR, la voz de mis ruegos. Oh Dios, oh SEÑOR, fortaleza de mi salvación, tú cubres mi cabeza en el día de la batalla. Oh SEÑOR, no concedas al impío sus deseos; ni saques adelante sus planes, no sea que se enorgullezca. Selah

Salmos 141:1‭-‬5 RVA2015:
Oh SEÑOR, a ti clamo; acude pronto a mí. Escucha mi voz cuando te invoco. Sea constante mi oración delante de ti, como el incienso; mis manos alzadas, como el sacrificio del atardecer. Pon, oh SEÑOR, guardia a mi boca; guarda la puerta de mis labios. No dejes que mi corazón se incline a cosa mala para hacer obras perversas con los hombres que obran iniquidad. No coma yo de sus manjares. Que el justo me castigue y me reprenda será un favor. Pero que el aceite del impío no embellezca mi cabeza, pues mi oración será continuamente contra sus maldades.


El salmo 140 es difícil de leer; no porque cueste entenderlo, sino por pensar en el sufrimiento que estaba viviendo el salmista. Él describió una situación muy difícil porque estaba siendo atacado de diferentes maneras. Y no eran ataques de personas que simplemente estaban hablando mal de él; era más que eso, ellos querían destruir su vida, lo querían muerto.
Él los llamó personas violentas e hizo una descripción de ellos. Por ejemplo, ellos hacían planes malévolos para buscar la caída de él. Ellos eran sagaces, astutos para cometer el mal y engañar para destruir.
Por eso él puso su confianza en el Señor, clamando por su pronto socorro.
Recuerda que tenemos un adversario que quiere matar, robar y destruir. El enemigo de nuestras almas quiere que caigas en sus engaños para que así tu familia sea afectada y dividida. ¡No se lo permitas! Refúgiate en la Roca de nuestra salvación.

El salmo 141 también es un clamor pero diferente. Es una plegaria para que el Señor lo moldee, lo afirme y lo haga un mejor creyente. El salmista presentó sus oraciones con una actitud de humillación como una ofrenda y olor agradable a Él. Una de las razones por la cual levantamos las manos al Señor es porque Él ve tus manos rendidas a Sus pies y Dios se agrada de ello.
También el salmista le pidió al Señor prudencia al hablar pues él era consciente que muchos de los problemas que sufrimos son causados por una boca que pronuncia palabras imprudentes. Sigamos su ejemplo, para que podamos ser ese faro que guíe las almas de nuestra familia, dando calma con nuestras palabras en tiempos de tempestad y neblina.
Además, el salmista sabía que el corazón es inclinado al mal, por eso no confiaba en sí mismo sino que le rogaba al Señor para que lo guíe, enderece sus pasos y lo corrija si por alguna razón se estaba desviando.
Sigamos su ejemplo imitando este modelo de oración si quieres ser un buen ejemplo para los miembros de tu hogar, para los que te rodean, y para que halles siempre la gracia y el favor de Dios.

Considera:
Cuando alguien quiere hacerte daño, ¿usas tus fuerzas para contraatacar o permites que el Señor pelee por ti?
Cuándo oras a Dios solamente, ¿le pides que te bendiga o sacas un tiempo para pedirle que te examine?
