December 24: Blessed Meetings.

Psalms 133:1-3:
Behold, how good and how pleasant it is for brethren to dwell together in unity! It is like the precious oil upon the head, running down on the beard, the beard of Aaron, running down on the edge of his garments. It is like the dew of Hermon, descending upon the mountains of Zion; for there the Lord commanded the blessing— life forevermore.

Psalms 134:1-3:
Behold, bless the Lord, all you servants of the Lord, who by night stand in the house of the Lord! Lift up your hands in the sanctuary, and bless the Lord. The Lord who made heaven and earth bless you from Zion!

Psalms 135:1-7:
Praise the Lord! Praise the name of the Lord; praise Him, O you servants of the Lord! You who stand in the house of the Lord, in the courts of the house of our God, praise the Lord, for the Lord is good; sing praises to His name, for it is pleasant. For the Lord has chosen Jacob for Himself, Israel for His special treasure. For I know that the Lord is great, and our Lord is above all gods. Whatever the Lord pleases He does, in heaven and in earth, in the seas and in all deep places. He causes the vapors to ascend from the ends of the earth; He makes lightning for the rain; He brings the wind out of His treasuries.


Here we are going to conclude the last psalms of pilgrimage to the temple which are 133 and 134.

Psalm 133 is very short but it shows us one of the supernatural events that happen when we meet in the house of the Lord. In our meetings the Lord manifests Himself and pours out blessing and eternal life! But with a great condition: if God sees that we are gathered together in harmony, maintaining peace and promoting unity. So let's overcome the differences that exist between us and be more tolerant so that we can live together and receive God's blessings when we come together.

Psalm 134 is very beautiful because it shows us what happened in the temple at dusk. In ancient times it was established that the Levites, that is the descendants of the tribe of Levi, would take turns taking care of the temple. In addition to the sentinels who guarded the property surrounding the temple, King David also placed worship leaders and musicians to worship the Lord throughout the night.
This psalm expresses words of encouragement and admiration for those who were on duty and kept vigil all night exalting the name of Jesus.
Remember, the Lord receives your prayer at night when sleep is gone and you decide to enter His presence to leave your burdens. He also receives your prayer when you dedicate that time to worship Him at dawn.

Psalm 135 shows us, first, the privilege of being called and gathered by God. Then he retold what they lived in Egypt and how God took them out with a strong hand, humiliating their enemies.
That is why it also refers to the difference between the God of Israel and the gold and silver gods of the other nations.
Our God delivers us, protects and blesses His children. Remember that, just like Israel, you too are its special treasure.

Consider this:
Have you worshiped God at night?
Do you recognize that you are also His special treasure?

Salmos 133:1‭-‬3 RVA2015:
¡He aquí, cuán bueno y cuán agradable es que los hermanos habiten juntos en armonía! Es como el buen aceite sobre la cabeza, el cual desciende sobre la barba, la barba de Aarón, y baja hasta el borde de sus vestiduras. Es como el rocío del Hermón que desciende sobre los montes de Sion; porque allá enviará el SEÑOR bendición y vida eterna.

Salmos 134:1-3 RVA2015:
He aquí, bendigan al SEÑOR, ustedes, todos los siervos del SEÑOR que están en la casa del SEÑOR por las noches. Alcen sus manos hacia el santuario y bendigan al SEÑOR. El SEÑOR, que hizo los cielos y la tierra, te bendiga desde Sion.

Salmos 135:1‭-‬7 RVA2015:
¡Aleluya!. ¡Alaben el nombre del SEÑOR! Alábenle, oh siervos del SEÑOR, ustedes que están en la casa del SEÑOR, en los atrios de la casa de nuestro Dios. Alaben al SEÑOR porque el SEÑOR es bueno; canten salmos a su nombre porque es agradable. Porque el SEÑOR ha escogido a Jacob para sí, a Israel como su especial tesoro. Porque yo sé que grande es el SEÑOR; nuestro Señor es más que todos los dioses. El SEÑOR ha hecho todo lo que ha querido en los cielos y en la tierra, en los mares y en todos los océanos. Él hace subir la neblina desde los extremos de la tierra. Hace los relámpagos para la lluvia y saca el viento de sus depósitos.


Aquí vamos a concluir los últimos salmos de peregrinación al templo que son el 133 y el 134.

El salmo 133 es muy corto pero nos muestra uno de los eventos sobrenaturales que suceden cuando nos reunimos en la casa del Señor. ¡En nuestras reuniones el Señor se manifiesta y derrama bendición y vida eterna!, pero con una gran condición: si Dios ve que estamos reunidos juntos en armonía, manteniendo la paz y promoviendo la unidad. Así que superemos las diferencias que hay entre nosotros y seamos más tolerantes para poder convivir juntos y recibir las bendiciones de Dios al congregarnos.

El salmo 134 es muy bonito porque nos enseña lo que pasaba en el templo al anochecer. En la antigüedad estaba establecido que los levitas, o sea los descendientes de la tribu de Leví, se turnaran para cuidar el templo. Además de los centinelas que protegían la propiedad que rodeaba el templo, el rey David también colocó líderes de alabanza y músicos para que adoraran al Señor durante toda la noche.
Este salmo expresa palabras de ánimo y admiración para aquellos que estaban de turno y hacían vigilia toda la noche exaltando el nombre de Jesús.
Recuerda, el Señor recibe tu oración en las noches cuando se te va el sueño y decides entrar a su presencia para dejar tus cargas. También recibe tu oración cuando dedicas ese tiempo para adorarle en la madrugada.

El salmo 135 nos muestra, primeramente, el privilegio de ser llamados y recogidos por Dios. Después hizo un recuento de lo que ellos vivieron en Egipto y cómo Dios los sacó con mano fuerte, humillando a sus enemigos.
Por eso también se refiere a la diferencia entre el Dios de Israel y los dioses de oro y plata de las demás naciones.
Nuestro Dios nos libra, protege y bendice a sus hijos. Recuerda que, así como Israel, tú también eres su especial tesoro.
