Lovely listeners, RoShawn and I are back and we hope you missed us! We're getting into the next phase of the story here as Harry borrows a giant, cumbersome SUV and tries to understand his brother a little better.
While these chapters aren't action-heavy, there's a lot going on character-wise which I really enjoyed. Harry going on the run with Thomas was particularly revealing, not just for Thomas but for Harry himself. It's clear as day to Thomas how Harry feels about Karrin, but Harry has talked himself out of the possibility of anything happening. Understandably, Thomas finds this infuriating because if fighting for his relationship with Justine were an option, he would absolutely do it. In his opinion, Harry is just taking it all lying down.
Then there's the little side story that's bothering RoShawn; who the hell beat the shit out of Harry's car? There doesn't seem to be any supernatural force behind the attack, and she can't figure out why they wouldn't have fucked up the engine. So what is going on there?
And then there's the bizarre dream Harry has about his father. His dad says something about not being "allowed to contact him until others crossed the line", and RoShawn theorizes wildly about what this could mean.
Thank you for listening, and see you next week!
