Wisdom-Trek / Creating a Legacy
Welcome to Day 674 of our Wisdom-Trek, and thank you for joining me.
This is Guthrie Chamberlain, Your Guide to Wisdom
What You See Reflects Your Thinking– Mindshift Monday

Thank you for joining us for our 5 days per week wisdom and legacy building podcast. This is Day 674 of our trek, and it is time for our Mindshift Monday series. Since Paula and I will be traveling for business the last half of August and I will need to record all these podcasts in advance, we will be substituting our regular podcast with short Wisdom Nugget episodes for three weeks. After that, we will return to our regular format.

This short nugget of wisdom includes an inspirational quote with a little additional content for today’s trek. Consider this your vitamin supplement of wisdom for today.  So let’s jump right in with today’s nugget.
What You See Reflects Your Thinking
Today's quote is from Helen Schucman, and it is, "Seek not to change the world, but choose to change your mind about the world. What you see reflects your thinking. Your thinking but reflects your choice of what you want to see."We all desire to change other people and through this, change the world. While we can impact those around us, change is always an inside job. Before going on a bold quest to change others or the world, first reflect on why you think they need to be changed.  It may just be possible that if you change your mind, how you view others and the world, then the world will change for you.

We must first seek to change our mindset and be in continual mindshift mode before we can ever hope to have a lasting positive impact on our world. It is possible once you have a proper mindshift that you will realize that your world does not require a change after all.

As Jesus taught us in Matthew 7:3-5, "And why worry about a speck in your friend’s eye when you have a log in your own?  How can you think of saying to your friend, ‘Let me help you get rid of that speck in your eye,’ when you can’t see past the log in your own eye?  Hypocrite! First get rid of the log in your own eye; then you will see well enough to deal with the speck in your friend’s eye." With these thoughts in mind, we will conclude our trek for today, and as we do remember that what you put into your mind is what will come out in your thoughts and speech.

Next week we will continue with an abbreviated trek of Mindshift Monday. On tomorrow’s trek, we will explore another wisdom quote. This 3-minute wisdom supplement will assist you in becoming healthy, wealthy, and wise each day. Thank you for joining me on this trek called life. Encourage your friends and family to join us and then come along tomorrow for another day of our Wisdom-Trek, Creating a Legacy. If you would like to listen to any of the past daily treks or read the associated journals, they are all available at Wisdom-Trek.com. You can also subscribe through iTunes or Google Play so that each day’s trek will be downloaded automatically.

Thank you so much for allowing me to be your guide, mentor, and most of all your friend as I serve you through the Wisdom-Trek podcast and journal.

As we take this trek of life together, let us always:

Live Abundantly (Fully)
Love Unconditionally
Listen Intentionally
