The shortage of teachers across Australia has been acute during the measures related to COVID-19 in 2020-22 and regional teacher training is one outreach some of the nation's top-quality ranked institutions from the Australian Christian Higher Education Alliance is undertaking, including the NSW Riverina in 2023 in conjunction with UNSW, to improve teacher retention in regional areas. We speak with the associate professor at Alphacrucis University College about the initiative - and the reason there's increasing interest in studying at faith based higher education institutions.
