This week’s Appalachia Matters is a great show packed with fantastic interviews.

General Hoyer sat at the Leadership Table with Amond Bailey, a young veteran who came from DC to the Mountain State for college at Marshall and hasn’t looked back. Amond is a Cyber Operations Officer with the West Virginia National Guard and National Leadership Fellow of the Student Veterans of America.

Tom Susman talks with Jackson County Farmer Eddie Smolder about his sheep shearing exhibition at the Mountain State Art and Craft Fair.

The Department of Agriculture provides background on their Farmacy Program that encourages residents to eat healthy West Virginia Grown products.

We will meet a West Virginia Herbalist who learned her craft from her grandfather.

In the Community Segment Bo Higby meets a Community Church Pastor, Appalachia has many independent churches.
