A NH teacher was fired after it was discovered she lied about having food poisoning when she called in sick from work and drove a pregnant student to a medical facility to access abortion services. The teacher reportedly worked for a non-profit educational center that provides educational programming for students with learning disabilities and special needs. We discussed the role teachers should play for children and whether it’s appropriate for instructors to get involved with their students’ medical services.
