Today’s Recipes: Effortless Hawaiin Kebobs and a Flavorful Sauce Effortless Hawaiin KebobsIngredients:
  • 1 pound kielbasa (smoked or raw, pre-boiled if raw)
  • Fresh pineapple chunks
  • Red onions, cut into chunks
  • Bell peppers (various colors), cut into chunks
  • 1/2 cup of your favorite barbecue sauce
  • 3 tablespoons pineapple juice
Instructions:
  1. Prep the Ingredients:
    • Slice the pre-boiled or smoked kielbasa into thick rounds.
    • Prepare the pineapple chunks, red onion chunks, and bell pepper chunks.
  2. Assemble the Kebabs:
    • On skewers, alternate pieces of kielbasa, pineapple, red onion, and bell peppers.
    • For the best results, start with a chunk of onion, followed by meat, pineapple, and bell pepper. Repeat the pattern.
  3. Make the Sauce:
    • In a bowl, mix 1/2 cup barbecue sauce with 3 tablespoons of pineapple juice. Stir well.
  4. Grill the Kebabs:
    • Preheat the grill to medium-high heat.
    • Brush the kebabs with the barbecue sauce mixture before placing them on the grill.
    • Grill the kebabs for 8-10 minutes, turning occasionally and brushing with more sauce as needed, until the vegetables are slightly charred and the meat is heated through.
  5. Serve:
    • Serve the kebabs hot, either on their own or over a bed of quinoa, rice, or couscous for a complete meal.
Alternative Cooking Method:
  • If grilling isn’t an option, place the assembled kebabs on a parchment-lined baking sheet.
  • Broil on high for 8-10 minutes, brushing with sauce and turning occasionally until the kebabs are cooked through.
Tips:
  • For variety, substitute kielbasa with shrimp, chicken, bratwurst, Italian sausage, or steak.
  • If using shrimp, use pre-cooked shrimp for a quick meal. If using chicken, ensure pieces are small enough to cook through on the grill.
  • Experiment with different fruit juices in the sauce for a unique twist.
Enjoy this quick and delicious summer meal that’s perfect for busy days and healthy lifestyles!
