Hey there beach lovers, surfers, and wave riders! It's that time again for your daily dose of surf zone forecasts from around New York. Let's dive right into what the waves have in store for us.

Starting off in Kings (Brooklyn), we've got a moderately risky day for rip currents with surf heights ranging from 2 to 3 feet. A slight chance of showers and thunderstorms might drift by, but nothing too dramatic. The UV index is very high today, so don't forget your sunscreen as temperatures hit the mid-80s with a max heat index in the mid-90s. Winds will be friendly coming from the south at 5 to 10 mph.

Moving on to Southern Queens, we're looking at similar surf conditions with moderately risky rip currents and a surf temperature in the mid-70s. Patchy fog in the morning might set a mysterious mood, but not to worry, things will clear up as the day progresses. Temperatures will be in the lower 80s with winds picking up to around 15 mph in the afternoon.

As we head over to Southern Nassau, the surf height remains consistent at 2 to 3 feet with a very high UV index. Temperatures will be pleasant in the lower 80s, and winds will be your friend around 15 mph in the afternoon.

In Southwestern Suffolk, expect mostly cloudy conditions with a chance of fog in the morning. Surf heights are around 2 to 3 feet, and temperatures will reach the lower 80s. Winds will be coming from the south at 5 to 10 mph.

Lastly, in Southeastern Suffolk, we're looking at a moderate rip current risk with surf heights ranging from 2 to 3 feet. The weather will be mostly cloudy with areas of fog in the morning. Temperatures will be in the lower 80s with winds at a gentle 5 to 10 mph.

So, grab your boards, wax up, and catch those waves while staying cautious of those rip currents, surfers! Remember to swim near a lifeguard, keep an eye out for each other, and most importantly, have a blast out there.
