College Station firefighters give a shoutout to employees quick action to prevent damage.

CSFD captain Stuart Marrs says two crews were sent to Galleria Day Spa on Rock Prairie Road Monday morning after employees turned on their heater and discovered a light haze and a burning smell.

That led employees to shut off the system and leave the building.

Marrs says the source of the haze and odor was a burned out furnace motor in the attic space.

There was no fire, heat, water, or smoke damage.
