show moreLeti Garza is a Tejana; her music refuses categorization. She draws from her North American roots in Texas Folk, Latin Jazz, and New Age. Her rhythmic music includes the Afro-Caribbean rhythms of Cuba’s son, danzon and boleros; the valses and baladas of Mexico; the trova, cumbia and merengue beats of South and Central America; and Brazil’s bossa nova and samba.
