We've seen how dangerous Amite County was for African Americans during the Civil Rights Movement. Herbert Lee was murdered in broad daylight by a politician. Shortly after, another African American man was murdered on his own property. Was it a coincidence or was it because he threatened to tell the truth at Herbert's trial? We all know the answer but let's be one of the first to examine Louis Allen's story closer.
