From Michelle:
Mantra Meditation- a practice of deep devotion, serving to facilitate energetic shifts, enhance positivity, remove negativity, transform, and heal.  Mantra can be practiced out loud, very softly spoken as if a whisper, or chanted silently. You can use a mala, rosary or simply repeat the mantra.

Chanting mantras is an ancient form of spoken words known as, japa mala meditation or mantra meditation. Mantra is used in both Sanskrit and Buddhist sacred ceremonies & rituals. It is also used daily as a spiritual practice- mantras are a form of devotion to help one evolve, attract, transform, release, remove obstacles and to enlighten one’s self.
How does it work?
For example, the seed sounds for the 7 main chakras-  LUM, VUM, RUM, YUM, HUM, & OM.  These seed sounds and letters of the Sanskrit Alphabet (are energetically contained within the lotus petals of the 7 main chakras). Repeatedly chanting a sacred word is rhythmic and vibrational. Vibrations influence energy, as energy shifts one can experience deep inner peace, joy, clarity and transformation.

Wesak ( Vesak)  Celebrates the birth, enlightenment and death of the Buddha.  It is believed that the Buddha and other spiritual masters, such as Jesus Christ are gathered at the Himalayas, energetically supporting human beings on their spiritual and devotional paths. These great Masters bring peace, love and compassion to the realm of earth to help human beings heal and transform to a greater version of oneself- leading to spiritual enlightenment.

*Please don’t be overwhelmed by various sources regarding Wesak. A basic breakdown is as follows-  Esoteric teachings celebrate Vesak with the full moon in Scorpio which is sometimes in April and sometimes in May. Hindus, Tibetan Buddhists and many other religious affiliations celebrate Vesak with the full moon when the sun is in Taurus, generally in May.

  1. OM MANI PADME HUM
  2. HUNG VAJRA PEH
  3. OM NAMO BHAGAVATE VASUDEVAYA
