Story Transcript:

He: ואוו! אלופים! מזג האוויר היה מושלם ביום השבת הזה ואנחנו, אברהם, מרים ודוד, היינו יושבים בבית הקפה הכי טוב בתל אביב.
En: Wow! Champions! The weather was perfect on this Shabbat day and we, Avraham, Miriam and David, were sitting in the best cafe in Tel Aviv.

He: היה לנו את היממה שלנו לערב. בדיוק אחרי שסיימנו להזמין כריכים טעימים של פלאפל, דנה החלה לשוחח איתנו על תכנים לשבוע הבא.
En: We had our day for the evening. Just after we finished ordering delicious falafel sandwiches, Dana started talking to us about content for the next week.

He: 'מה אתם חושבים על טיול לאוקינדו? יש שם אטרקציות מדהימות!' היא הציעה.
En: 'What do you think about a trip to Okindo? There are amazing attractions there!' she suggested.

He: 'כן, זה סוג של גן שמורה, נכון?' שאלתי.
En: 'Yeah, it's kind of a reserve garden, isn’t it?' I asked.

He: 'כן, וגם יש שם אדם אשכולי. אפשר להפתיע את הילדים שלנו!' מרים התרוצצה.
En: 'Yes, and there is also Adam Eshkoli there. We can surprise our children!' Miriam ran.

He: בעודנו מתחילים לדון בתוכניות, משהו מוזר קרה. שתיים שלא נשבור עד שלוש! שחף ענק, מסתער מאוד, חדר יחד עם רוח רעה, וגנב לנו את הכריכים.
En: As we begin to discuss the plans, something strange happened. Two that we won't break until three! A huge seagull, very charging, entered together with an evil spirit, and stole our sandwiches.

He: 'מה זה השטויות האלה? אף פעם לא ראיתי דבר כזה!' צחקתי.
En: 'What is this nonsense? I've never seen anything like it!' I laughed.

He: 'מאוד מצחיק!' קראתי לכם, 'אנחנו צופים כרעים בנחש, בבית קפה!'
En: 'Very funny!' I called you, 'We watch the snake as bad guys, in a cafe!'

He: כולנו התחלפנו בבדיחות על השיפים שמצאו חן בעיניו במזון הרחוב הישראלי. אחרי כמה רגעים, אנחנו ראינו את השחף הגונב מתעורר ועם הקריספי הטעים שלנו בזק!
En: We all exchanged jokes about the chefs he liked in Israeli street food. After a few moments, we saw the thieving seagull wake up and with our delicious crispy, a flash!

He: 'תודה!' אמרתי. 'אתה בן גבר מצוין, דוד!'
En: 'Thanks!' I said 'You are an excellent man, uncle!'

He: 'תמיד שמח לעזור' עם חיוך גדול על פניו, דוד ענה.
En: 'Always happy to help' with a big smile on his face, David answered.

He: ומה המסקנה שלנו מהסיפור המגניב הזה? המסקנה היא שטוב לקחת דברים קל, גם כשדברים לא הולכים כמו שתכננו.
En: And what is our conclusion from this cool story? The conclusion is that it's good to take things easy, even when things don't go as planned.

He: כשהסיפור הזה התחיל בשיחה משוגעת על תכניות לטיול, לא חשבתי שאנחנו נזכה להתנפל על חטיף על ידי שחף!
En: When this story started with a crazy conversation about travel plans, I didn't think we'd get to be pounced on for a snack by a seagull!

He: אבל, הצחוקים והשמחה שהזרמו בינינו נתנו לנו את התכלית שלנו.
En: But, the laughter and joy that flowed between us gave us our purpose.

He: אנחנו עדיין יודעים לשמור על השמחה אפילו כשיש לנו את המאכל הטעים לגמרי בתוך מערכת ההיממה של שחף!
En: We still know how to keep the joy even when we have the delicious food completely inside the seagull's circadian system!
