A team of researchers at the University of Houston along with the Medistar Corporation have developed a superheated air filter that can “catch and kill” Coronavirus! The nickel-based foam filter heats up to 200 degrees Celsius (392 degrees Fahrenheit) as part of a heated air disinfection system, effectively removing and killing 99.8% of COVID-19 viral particles. Dan checks back in with Dr. Garrett Peel, the Director of Medistar about any updates as to whether air filters have started being installed in various schools, offices, and the like.
