What we are seeing is a multi level view of the world on one level we have those who believe in the right and left of the puppet show callled poliitcs, there are those who 'realise deep down' that something is wrong with that image, but do nothing about it. then several dermis layers above that are people who acknowledge they have a responsibilty to search for an answer to the mess we've permitted ourselves to fall into. It's a little clichéd, but the movie they live comes to mind whereby viewing things as they are through special glasses, comes to mind.
