Canning can be an intimidating task for those new to it. However, Becky says that once you get a handle on it, there’s nothing to worry about. Her love of canning was born from necessity to some extent, and to a greater extent, from her love of cooking. In this episode, she shares tips and tricks, and the best foods to incorporate in the practice of canning. A couple of years ago, she and her husband had the opportunity to buy a home on a small one-acre parcel of land. In January 2021, she started the Acre Homestead YouTube channel to document her second year of gardening. What started as a personal project grew into a full-time job within a matter of months! Today, she shares her passion for homegrown, homemade, and locally-sourced food.
