Versatile actor Arlen Escarpeta recently wrapped up his lead role in Michael Bay’s re-imagination of the classic, “Friday the 13th”which is set for release on Friday the 13th of February 2009 through Paramount and New Line Cinema. Arlen plays the character “Lawrence”, opposite Jared Padalecki and Danielle Panabaker in the highly anticipated horror film. From thereon, Arlen worked on the independent film, “Roslyn”, in which he stars as Mike. The film is also set to release in 2009. Arlen also finished shooting two other independent features including one directed by Preston Whitmore entitled “Dough Boys” in which Arlen plays the lead role alongside actor Wood Harris. He will then star as the role of a young LAPD police officer who patrols the valley on the 4th of July during a racial gang war in the film “818”. The film has been in production since the summer of 2008 and Arlen has also been serving as the co-producer.
