show moreASIM is an observatory installed on the European Columbus module of the International Space Station (ISS) that monitors the high-altitude electrical discharges in the stratosphere and mesosphere above large thunderstorms.
This joint project, led by the Technical University of Denmark (DTU) and Terma, has been developed for the European Space Agency (ESA). ASIM is the largest Danish space project to date.
