Depression can leave people down a dangerous and unforgiving cycle of Hell.
Often started by that of a tragedy, a person begins to distance themselves from friends and family, in doing so they find themselves losing these relationships which causes them to fall deeper into depression and shy away from other relationships, spiraling out of control.
There is hope, and you can break the cycle.
Today, Ian Blair joins me to tell his story of being an overweight teen, who broke the cycle of laziness, got fit and joined the army.
This victory was short lived when he received the news of his brothers heart coming to a stop one day on the bus, spiraling him into doubt and a sense of being lost.
That is till one day, Ian laced up his shoes, and decided to hike 1,200 miles by foot through rugged mountain terrain.
Through the rain, mud, rocky cliffs, he was forced to come face to face with not only nature, but also himself.
His story is one that inspired me, and I hope it can touch you as well, cycles can be broken.
