Black hat thinkers are right/wrong, black/white in their approach to work. They focus on logic, facts and often discard creativity or intuitive reasoning in problem-solving or innovative processes.  They can offend other team members while thinking they are giving to the team exactly what they would hope the team would offer them in return.
