Tonight's guest, Drew, earns extra money by harvesting timber, in the Oregon backwoods, in the wintertime. Besides being hard work that required long hours, it wasn't a bad job. Not long ago, though, Drew began to notice a change in the forest where he works. He used to hear the sounds of wildlife, all around him, when he was there, working. Not long ago, those forest fell quiet. There were no vocalizations from squirrels, birds, or any of the other animals that called that forest home.
