In this episode of Heart.Change.Consciousness., Dr. Trish interviews Dr. Sahar D. Sattarzadeh, a self-described "academivist" (academic activist) about her work in recentering the inherent nobility of peoples and communities "from the periphery" that are too often solely portrayed as damaged and victimized, without delegitimizing the systemic injustices and inequities they face--and why these issues of representation and nobility are of spiritual significance. Sahar is an Assistant Professor of Education Studies at DePauw University and Research Associate at the Chair for Critical Studies in Higher Education Transformation (CriSHET) at Nelson Mandela University.
