WEEK 11; DAY 1
AWAKE, SLEEPING SOLDIERS

Ephesians 5:14-18
Therefore He says, Awake, O sleeper, and arise from the dead, and Christ shall shine upon you and give you light. [Isa. 26:19; 60:1, 2.]
Look carefully then how you walk! Live purposefully and worthily and accurately, not as the unwise and witless, but as wise (sensible, intelligent people), Making the very most of the time [buying up each opportunity], because the days are evil.
Therefore do not be vague and thoughtless and foolish, but understanding and firmly grasping what the will of the Lord is.
And do not get drunk with wine, for that is debauchery; but ever be filled and stimulated with the [Holy] Spirit. [Prov. 23:20.]

Dear friend, have you ever wondered on what your assignment is as a Christian? Have you ever brooded upon what your responsibilities entail? Do you know you are a worker in His vineyard, a soldier in the kingdom?

Awake! You have slept long enough on your duties, hoping your life doesn't count much in the matters of the kingdom isn't going to fly because without you, without us all, servants will ride on horses while kings become slaves.

Now, as soldiers, as ambassadors, how do you live?

You live your life knowing your identity in Him so you can walk right: not slouching but with an authority of one in an office.

1.Live purposefully : knowing God's purpose for your life helps you live in your true identity through the walk of life. To know this, you do not need to seek any man but the one who created you. Read his Word, seek His Word and listen to His Word.

2. Live worthily: there is a worthy manner to live and it is in alignment with Christ. It is the truth that we are the righteousness of God because of what Christ has done, however, for such righteousness to be revealed to the world, we have to make it evident. This is our responsibility.

3. Live accurately: isn't it funny that you can live purposefully and worthily, yet inaccurately? The beauty of living in Christ as Christ lives in you is the accuracy.
The gift of the Holy Spirit in every believer makes this walk complete.

Whenever you experience darkness as a believer, look within you for the light needed. The Holy Spirit lives within you always, He doesn't visit, He resides in you. Whatever light you need, you will find in Him. He is our sure plug for our space.

Isaiah 60:1-5
Arise, my people! Let your light shine for all the nations to see! For the glory of the Lord is streaming from you.
Darkness as black as night shall cover all the peoples of the earth, but the glory of the Lord will shine from you.
All nations will come to your light; mighty kings will come to see the glory of the Lord upon you.
Lift up your eyes and see! For your sons and daughters are coming home to you from distant lands.
Your eyes will shine with joy, your hearts will thrill, for merchants from around the world will flow to you, bringing you the wealth of many lands.

I pray you realize how much you carry as the world awaits the manifestation of your true walk in God, in Jesus name, amen.
