ANTONIA FELIX is the author of 18 nonfiction books. Her biographies of prominent women leaders, including Supreme Court Justice Sonia Sotomayor and Secretary of State Condoleezza Rice, have given her opportunities to speak and lecture on women in politics in many venues. She has appeared on CNN, MSNBC, Fox News, NPR, BBC, and CNN International, and is a featured biographer in the award-winning 2010 documentary American Faust: From Condi to Neo-Condi. As a member of the advisory board of the Women’s Freedom Forum, an educational organization affiliated with the United Nations that provides information about women’s rights in the Middle East and Iran, Felix has conducted research and moderated briefings at the U.S. Senate and U.S. House of Representatives. Currently an Ed.D. candidate at Minnesota State University–Mankato, her research involves the use of expressive writing as a method for educational leaders of color to explore their experiences with race.
