Gentle relaxation with calming affirmations.
We all have a natural anxiety response
The fight, flight or freeze response
And panic attacks can be one of these defence mechanisms.
Now panics attacks are a nightmare to experience
I know I’ve had them
And
When people begin to have a lot or regular panic attacks
They may be suffering from what we call panic disorder
Panic attacks can manifest from a known trigger situation
Or they can come out of the blue with no apparent reason
Just like I experienced
And I talk about mine on a video I posted on you tube
And I’ll put the link in the show notes if your interested
So, panic is one of the most severest forms of anxiety
And if you do know what triggers it
You may start to practice avoidance
Avoiding places and or situations
Affecting how you behave
Living in fear of another attack
Which may lead to even more attacks as the anxiety rises
Panics attacks can be scary
They can come on quickly
You may feel your heart racing
And experience a shortness in breath
As well as nausea, feeling faint or maybe shaking or trembling
These attacks range in time
And if you do experience them you should get checked out by your doctor
There are many ways to help when you do experience a panic attack
Grounding and breathing techniques are very affective in calming and regaining control
And I’ve recorded a meditation exercise to practice
So when you need it you can use it
These affirmations are about restoring the calm to your mind and body
You may want to pick a couple of the affirmations to memorise
Ones that might particularly resonate with you
So that when you feel that anxiety coming on
You can repeat them,
replacing those negative thoughts into positive ones
So have a listen to the show and take what you need
Thank you for listening.
