Actress Tala Ashe sat down for a one-on-one interview to talk about her work on stage and screen.

Daytime TV fans will recognize Tala from her role as Ameera Ali-Aziz on As the World Turns. For five years, Tala was a series regular on DC'S Legends of Tomorrow playing “Zari Tomaz,” the 1st Muslim-American superhero on television.

She has had major arcs on Smash and American Odyssey on NBC. Tala has also had guest starring roles on 30 Rock, Law & Order: CI, and Law & Order. She has a recurring role on the upcoming Max series, The Girls on the Bus.

Tala won an Obie Award and was nominated for a Drama Desk and Lucille Lortel for her performance in the Pulitzer Prize winning play, English at the Atlantic Theater Company. English is headed to Broadway with Tala in December of this year. She also starred in the critically acclaimed Vagrant Trilogy at the Public Theater.
