Actress Jane Badler from the cult classic series, V, joined me in The Locher Room to tell us about lending her vocals to the new single, Tears of Faith from the Australian electronic pop band, Parralox, fronted by John von Ahlen.

The song is a down-tempo electronic dance arrangement about broken relationships and the hope for reconciliation. Its accompanying visual is directed by Leanne Hanley.

von Ahlen plays the role of a mad professor, intent on creating his perfect soul mate. Through the power of computers, A.I. and a little bit of magic, he manages to transmute a blank slate into the perfect female creation, played by Jane. The “Tears of Faith” video is about love, loneliness, and hubris; it touches on the superficial and the spiritual.

Jane appeared regularly on American television from 1976-1989. Along with V, she starred in One Life to Live (Melinda Cramer) and Fantasy Island. She also played the seductive snatcher of Alec Baldwin’s baby in The Doctors (Natalie Bell) and caused a stir opposite Kim Novak in Falcon’s Crest. In 2010, Jane returned to V in the re-imagining of the series.
