Story Transcript:
Nb: Solen skinte over de grønne norske fjordene.
En: The sun shone over the green Norwegian fjords. At the edge of a bright blue fjord, you found Lars and Ingrid. They unpacked a picnic basket filled with food for a fun picnic. By their side, their dog Olav ran happily and bounced around like a little clown.
En: Everything was perfect. But it didn't last long. Out of nowhere, a dark, menacing cloud cover appeared, and sunshine was replaced with dark clouds. The rain began to pour, first as small drops, and then in a heavy downpour.
En: Lars and Ingrid were taken by surprise. They tried to wrap up the food in the picnic basket, but it was already too late. The bread turned into dough, the cheese melted, and the cakes turned into mush.
En: They tried to take cover under a tiny umbrella. But the rain was too intense. It pricked them like a thousand tiny needles. The umbrella, intended only for a gentle summer drizzle, was useless against the heavy, pounding rain.
En: For some reason, Olav found this very amusing. The mischievous dog ran in circles, jumped in and out of puddles, and splashed water everywhere. He didn't understand that this was a catastrophe for Lars and Ingrid.
En: But soon, even Olav had had enough. He began to shiver and couldn't run anymore. That's when he realized he had to help Lars and Ingrid. He led them to the nearest cabin and showed them a little treehouse where they could take shelter.
En: Lars and Ingrid, soaked and cold but grateful, entered the cabin together with Olav. They finally got dry clothes, hot cocoa, and a fireplace to warm themselves by. The rain continued to drum on the cabin roof, but the inside was warm and cozy.
En: Eventually, the rain stopped, and the sun began to shine again. They could see the rainbow shining over the fjord. They felt happy and grateful. Even though the picnic had turned into a disaster, they ended up having an unexpectedly pleasant time inside the cozy little cabin by the fjord.
En: And so, it became a day Lars, Ingrid, and Olav would never forget. Imagine how much fun you can have when you try to survive a catastrophe. This was definitely a picnic they would remember. Even though it didn't go as planned, it was even more exciting than they had imagined.
