Pl: Maja i Maciej nigdy wcześniej nie przeżyli czegoś takiego jak Puszcza Białowieska.
En: Maja and Maciej had never experienced anything like the Białowieża Forest before.

Pl: Wysokie starodrzewy, które zdawały się rozciągać w nieskończoność, ptaki śpiewające zapadające w pamięć melodie, chłodne poranne powietrze – nie przypominały niczego, co kiedykolwiek widzieli.
En: The towering old-growth trees that seemed to stretch into the sky forever, the birds singing haunting melodies, the cool morning air – it was like nothing they had ever seen.

Pl: Przyjechali w tę część Polski na biwak i postanowili jak najlepiej go wykorzystać.
En: They had come to this part of Poland for a camping trip and were determined to make the most of it.

Pl: Kiedy więc zauważyli polanę w lesie, postanowili rozbić tam obóz.
En: So, when they spotted a clearing in the woods, they decided to make camp there.

Pl: Maciej zebrał drewno i podpałkę i rozpalił ognisko, podczas gdy Maja rozpakowywała przyniesione przez nich zapasy.
En: Maciej gathered wood and kindling and started a fire, while Maja unpacked the supplies they had brought.

Pl: Wkrótce rozpaliło się ognisko i Maja postanowiła spróbować swoich sił w gotowaniu tradycyjnego gulaszu myśliwskiego, czyli bigosu.
En: Soon they had a roaring fire going and Maja decided to try her hand at cooking a traditional hunter's stew, or "bigos" as it was called.

Pl: Posiekała i połączyła cebulę, kapustę, grzyby, suszone śliwki i kiełbasę, a następnie dodała bulion i przyprawy.
En: She chopped and combined onions, cabbage, mushrooms, prunes, and sausage, and then added broth and spices.

Pl: Zapach gulaszu gotującego się na otwartym ogniu był odurzający, a czas zdawał się płynąć szybko, gdy rozmawiali o wszystkim, co widzieli i robili podczas wyprawy na kemping.
En: The smell of the stew cooking over the open fire was intoxicating and the time seemed to pass quickly as the two of them chatted about all that they had seen and done during their camping trip.

En: When the stew was finished, they each ladled a bowlful and enjoyed the hearty meal.
