The Massachusetts Supreme Judicial Court has ruled that defendants charged with statutory rape - where physical force was not used - can't be held in jail before trial. The decision also covers certain indecent assault and battery cases and stems from a case involving a suspended Lawrence cop charged with meeting a 13-year-old boy for sex. Essex County District Attorney Jonathan Blodgett joins Dan in studio to urge the legislators to close the loophole as quickly as possible.
