Story Transcript:

En: Lars and Ingrid were neighbors and good friends in a cozy neighborhood in Norway.

Nb: De elsket å leke sammen.
En: They loved playing together.

En: On a white and freezing winter day, they bundled up in warm clothes and let their imagination take over, they were going sledding!

En: They stood at the top of the hill, their eyes fixed on the glistening snow-covered slope.

Nb: Akene deres var fargerike plastplanker, klare for eventyr.
En: Their sleds were colorful plastic planks, ready for adventure.

En: Lars, being the bravest, sat on his sled first.

En: Ingrid followed with a big smile.

Nb: De begynte å ake nedover bakken, men plutselig mistet de kontrollen.
En: They started sliding down the hill, but suddenly they lost control.

En: They tumbled like pinecones on glass and finally saw a big mound of snow right in front of them.

Nb: Lars skrek, "Ingrid, hold deg fast!"
En: Lars shouted, "Ingrid, hold on tight!"

En: They crashed into the snow pile with a big 'plop' sound.

Nb: "Er du ok, Ingrid?"
En: "Are you okay, Ingrid?"

Nb: var det første Lars sa.
En: was the first thing Lars said.

Nb: Ingrid nikket og begynte å le.
En: Ingrid nodded and started laughing.

En: Both of them couldn't help themselves and looked at each other in complete silence before exploding into laughter.

En: This mishap, far from being a tragedy, turned into a treasure trove of fun.

Nb: Dette minnet ble deres små secret.
En: This memory became their little secret.

En: Life in Norway was cold, but the friendship between Lars and Ingrid was warmer than any fireplace.

En: Every time they looked at that hill afterwards, they would smile, think of the snow pile they crashed into, and feel the warmth of the laughter they shared.

En: The story of Lars and Ingrid shows us that sometimes, what we think will be a huge catastrophe ends up being a memory that warms our hearts.

En: And even when we crash, we can always find a reason to smile, as long as we have good friends by our side.
