show moreEarlier this week, the NCAA suffered a humiliating defeat in the U.S. Supreme Court. Wednesday, a memo from NCAA President Mark Emmert leaked out, in which he proposed passing an emergency measure to allow athletes across the nation to profit off their NIL rights as well.
Thursday, Ohio's house of representatives will vote on the state's own version of NIL, a bill that could be signed into law this week and go into effect on July 1 as well.
