As requested from Brad Brockbank, below is the comments shared from a seminar:
"How To Take Care of Your Wife".
(These are my personal notes and they have served me VERY well since I learned them).
#1 You need to drop 3 Appreciation Bombs Each Week (From outta nowhere) In those messages send the message that I care about you and I adore you.
#2 Don't ignoring her feelings. (You have to let her know that the way she feels about something is important, even if she is wrong)
#3 Don't interrupt her to judge or correct what she is saying. (Also don't interrupt her to give her the solution to her problem... That is not why she is telling you)
#4 Stop putting your interest or friends first. This makes her feel second rate, and will NOT help your relationship. (Do the opposite and I guarantee very positive results.)
I#5 Stop saying you shouldn't be so upset.
#6 Stop belittling her views. (go back and see #2)
Affection is a powerful motivator for women and helps to soften their heart when they receive it.
#7 Do- be attentive to show you care.
#8 Do- listen quietly to understand her feelings.
#9 Do- adore her by putting her needs first.
#10 Do- validate her and make her know that her feelings are okay.
#11 Do- assure her that her feelings make sense.
A wife will give more if she feels special, adored, and listened to than rescued or provided for; she desires more loving attention and affection than helpful problem solving
Apply these principles constructed upon a foundation of mutual trust and love and I promise a stronger healthier marriage. Feel free to share with others
