Dr. Gary Fettke is a medical doctor in Australia who’s been practicing for 40 years. A few years ago Gary was facing a law suit for recommending that his diabetic patients not be given so much sugar. That led him down the rabbit hole of low carb and ancestrally appropriate diets but also it led him and his wife Belinda to research into the ideology of the food guidelines first in the USA and then in Australia and now around the world. Now if you’ve heard Dr. Fettke before I still want you to pay attention to this interview because we cover some ground that may be new for a lot of people. Particularly the question of how these guidelines and ways of eating are getting exported to developing countries around the world and why obesity rates in Pacific countries are the highest in the world. If you like this conversation please do make sure to leave us a review on whatever platform you’re listening.
