Today's study identifies three scenarios where churches / authorities are forbidden to accept tithe offerings / compensation from their flock. Raising the question: is every scenario forbidden? I hope that question will be answered in a future book! But these three are certainly interesting. You may have heard about churches where people roll around on the ground in the isles laughing uncontrollably or babbling inchorently. Chapter 17 appears to suggest that's demonic (I'm just telling you what the book says). I can't say it's incontravertible, but that does appear to be the message from this study. There are a couple stories of divine torment that are interesting. In one scenario God broke both arms of a man who leveled charges at Apollinarius. And in another angels appeared and whipped a man for ignoring God's warnings.Chapter 17 - The peculiar behavior false prophets (demonic ecstasy)Chapter 18 - Why it's inappropriate for a prophet to accept compensationChapter 19 - The petition against Montanus' cult/heresyChapter 20 - Justin rebukes FlorinusChapter 21 - God broke both arms of the man who brought charges against ApollinarusChapter 22 - Logs the succession of bishopsChapter 23 - Passover celebration debate (his death or resurrection?)Chapter 24 - The Bishop of Rome excommunicates the churches of Asia for disputing the passover celebration dateChapter 25 - Epistles are sent everywhere unanimously selecting the day of Jesus resurrection as the new passover date.Chapter 26 - Genuine writings of reputable historiansChapter 27 - The succession of emperorsChapter 28 - Bishop Paul was scourged by angels for receiving offerings and supporting a heresy. For the full series
