On this episode of Kings' Hour, the Kings sit down with Tonya McKenzie to discuss the importance of having Role Models and Mentors.

Influence is a major part of developing who we are. That influence can come from anywhere a parent, relative, coach, teacher or a celebrity and the list goes on. Who has shaped you into the man or woman you are today? Tonya McKenzie, Redondo beach 2021 Woman of the year, tells us who inspired her, what drives her, and what she believes a Queen's mindset is.

This Queen's resume is deep, Tonya is the founder of Sand
& Shores PR company in Redondo Beach California. She has also served as the Executive director of the Northern California YMCA, Director of the Oakley California Chamber of Commerce, and leads a dynamic marketing team for a private club in Walnut Creek, CA. Tonya has also published a Real Estate Agent Magazine and chartered a graduate chapter of Zeta Phi Beta Sorority. She is a graduate of California State University, Northridge. Tonya is currently the president of the North Redondo Beach Business Association and is the first African American woman to be elected to the board of directors of the Redondo Beach Chamber of Commerce. She is featured in the book Amazing Moms and has also written the book "A Child's Memories of Cartoons & Murder", with another book coming out in the summer of 2022 called, "L.L.E.A.D. the Way" and so much more. While achieving all of that greatness, Tonya is also a full-time mom with a 21-year-old college basketball player, a 13-year-old baseball player, and 11-year-old twins. Tonya's work ethic, dedication, and continuous work on being the best version of herself is the definition of Queen mentality. She is an inspiration to not only her family but too many more and we are honored to have her on this episode of the Kings' Hour.

Tap into one of our best episodes as we aim to inspire a movement of young Kings and Queens. Be King today and every day.
