The College Station school district finished the 2017-18 school year with unexpected revenue of $900,000 dollars.

Deputy superintendent Mike Martindale says more than a third of the additional money was the result of a settlement with the state over a property value audit from four years ago.

Martindale says the additional money has gone back to CSISD's fund balance...or savings account. In part, that's because it's not known what state lawmakers will do about school finance in the next session.
