Born in College Station, Texas, Abilene Maverick knows a thing or two about pride, showmanship, tradition and family. Raised on sports and competition, Abilene had to vie against her siblings to earn her father’s attention—ultimately emerging victorious to take her place as the apple of the powerful patriarch’s eye. When her father passed away during her final year of college, Abilene was left devastated. It wasn’t until her mother—herself a cunning woman with a long career in the competitive political scene—suggested she pursue a career in wrestling, as a tribute to her father, that the young girl’s life began to take on a greater meaning. Proudly bearing the title of ‘The Governor’s Daughter’, Abilene came to WOW Abilene, bringing a southern sweetness that quickly endeared her to her fellow Superheroes.
