Up to 70 marijuana plants were found by Burleson County sheriff's deputies this week in a cultivated field near the Milam County line.

Investigator Christine Labertew tells WTAW's Bill Oliver a man and woman from Caldwell were arrested for possession as well as attempting to conceal and destroy the plants and "pieces" of marijuana northwest of Chriesman.

45 year old Stephanie Lange and 50 year old Robert Lange Jr. are out of jail after posting bond.

Labertew says Bryan police and DPS assisted in the case.
