In this episode, Taylor and Bob take a deep dive into the study of neuroplasticity and how we can use it to develop into a higher version of ourselves. Bob notes that there was a widely accepted switch in how people interacted with the Law of Attraction which is what led him to his work of brain rewiring. The journey we must go on to rewire our brains successfully is the goal we should strive to achieve. In the first half of the episode, Taylor and Bob discuss what life circumstances can lead us to seek a change. In order to make that change a reality, we must become self-aware of the stories we have told ourselves for so long that have pushed our brains into an “autopilot” mode.

Taylor leads the second half of the episode by asking Bob for practical tips and strategies on how to rewire our brains to be the versions of ourselves we want to become. Bob discusses throughout the episode the powerful tool of visualization. In order to rewire our brains to learn something new and lead us to become that higher self, we should visualize what life would be like and then make it a non-negotiable. The stories we tell ourselves along the way should all center around this end goal we have created for ourselves.

Key Quotes:

“Most of our wiring that has occurred has happened on autopilot, automatically. We’ve just been in response mode, but if we take conscious control over the thoughts we are sending our brain … that is how we will eventually change.” –Bob Doyle

“This new behavior will become easier and easier. Yes, you will have to go through the discomfort. Yes, you will make the mistakes. Yes, you will have times when you feel like you went ten steps back– every ten steps back is really ten steps forward as long as you get right back into action.” –Bob Doyle

“If you give the brain information on an ongoing basis, it will change itself to support that.” –Bob Doyle
