Kia ora, Talofa, Ma’lelei, Bula, Aloha and Welcome to Season 10 Episode 12 of Breakfast Bites, by TEIVOVOdigital.com – a wrap of Pasifika people’s sports news, on Saturday morning 13 July 2024, where like yesterday, it is mostly cloudy and a cool 21 degrees Celsius at 5am.

Coming to you with tons of hanisi from the 180th meridian, in the middle of the blue continent.

In Rugby Union: Italy pizzaed Tonga 14-36 in Nukualofa yesterday.

In the World Rugby U20s Trophy comp, Samoa 39-19 Hong Kong in Scotland and Fiji plays Georgia in South Africa on Monday in a 9th place U20s Championship semifinal.

Our world famous tips for this weekend: USA to joebiden Scotland, Canada to canelo Romania, Samoa to sambo Spain, New Zealand to nutella England, Australia to wagga Wales, Japan to junglejuice Georgia, South Africa to savlon Ireland and Argentina to puma France.

In Rugby League: Former NRL players Siosiua Taukeiaho and Jayden Nikorima have been sacked by French Super League Club the Catalans Dragons over a “highly unacceptable” incident.

The pair had their contracts terminated with immediate effect, along with a teammate yesterday.

The Dragons released a short statement last night without detailing the incident, but it is understood the players skipped a training session to attend a concert in England – believed to be Taylor Swift.

In Football: Our World Famous Tips for the Grand Finals of the Copa América at the Hard Rock Stadium in Miami - Argentina to crunchygranola Colombia, and in the EURO2024 at Olympiastadion in Berlin we tip Spain to espazito England.

At Wimbledon: Novak Djokovic will face Carlos Alcaraz in the Wimbledon Men’s final for the second year straight.

The young Spaniard stunned the 24-time Grand Slam champion in last year’s championship match.

Djokovic reached his first final of the season by beating Lorenzo Musetti 6-4, 7-6, 6-4.

The 37-year-old Serb legend had meniscus surgery five weeks ago and has been competing in The Championships wearing a knee brace.

In Combat Sports: UFC fan favourite - undefeated Flyweight, Tracy Cortez shed a tear on the scales after making weight for her UFC headliner in Denver, Colorado tomorrow.

This after she was forced to shed some hair during yesterday’s official weigh-in, to successfully tip the scales for her main event fight against Rose Namajunas.

After initially missing the upper limit of 126lb by just half a pound, Cortez returned for a second attempt clutching her ponytail, which she had cut off in desperation to make the weight.

In the Paris Olympic Games: WNBA superstar Caitlin Clark could be going to the Paris Olympic Games after all.

Arch rival and Phoenix Mercury guard, Diana Taurasi has been dealing with a serious leg injury and so Clark is primed to take her spot.

Not only is Clark named as an alternate to Team USA Women’s Olympic Basketball team, but she is primed to scrimmage against them, playing for the WNBA All-Star team.

And in the NBA: Speaking at a celebrity golf tournament in Lake Tahoe yesterday, Charles Barkley told CNBC: "The main reason I was talking about next year being my last year - it'll be 25 years that I've been working with Turner, and at this age [61] to go and start over, I don't know if I want to do that."

Industry sources speculate that Barkley could be part of a bidding war from ESPN, NBCUniversal and Amazon if Warner Bros. Discovery is unable to match Amazon’s bid of US$1.8Billion annually.

But Barkley said that an exorbitant money offer will not change his mind: "Hey, if I don't have enough money by now, I'm the biggest idiot. I played in the NBA for 15 years. I've been on television for 24 years. If I don't have enough money by now, I'm the biggest loser in the world."

Don’t bluff Charlie!

That’s a wrap peeps!
