Welcome back everyone - Tonight, we close the circle on a run of some fascinating acoustic mixes that were inspired by the spring breeze and sun returning to the Lower Mainland, with some added true grit to signify the hard work of keeping it real as much as possible. We begin with a classic folk-acoustic ballad from John Lennon of The Beatles (circa 1965), a beautiful and moving ballad from Cat Power, classic raw blues from Muddy Waters, and classic shoe-gaze 60s psych-rock from The Velvet Underground (!); next, we get far more contemporary with an impressive instrumental from Nicolay, a great start up rock cut from Jenny Lewis (!), a very nice new track from Desire feat. Tika & Casey, one of my favourite songs of the year c/o Helado Negro, very cool electro-R&B from HOMESHAKE, and two of the best moody cuts of the 2000s from Beach House, and Portishead, respectively; we close with LIGHTS, an incredible new singer-songwriter cut from Mac Demarco, and an even more incredible bonus gem, marking the comeback of the year - Please enjoy~~
