Good day, folks! Time for your daily weather report from the National Weather Service. Today in Chicago, Illinois, we're looking at scattered showers and thunderstorms rolling in after 4 pm....
show moreToday in Chicago, Illinois, we're looking at scattered showers and thunderstorms rolling in after 4 pm. It'll be partly sunny with a high near 66 degrees. Keep an eye out for an east-northeast wind blowing at 10 to 15 miles per hour and gusts reaching up to 25 miles per hour. The chance of precipitation stands at 40%.
As we move into tonight, those scattered showers and thunderstorms will continue before 1 am. Expect mostly cloudy skies with a low around 57 degrees. The east-northeast wind will persist at 10 to 15 miles per hour with gusts as high as 25 miles per hour, bringing the chance of precipitation up to 50%.
Looking ahead to Sunday, there's a 30% chance of showers after 1 pm with mostly sunny conditions and a high near 64. The wind will shift from northeast to west-northwest at 10 to 15 miles per hour, possibly gusting up to 30 miles per hour.
And for all our planners out there, remember that Columbus Day is on the horizon. It's expected to be mostly sunny with a high near 57 degrees. Don't forget those umbrellas though, as there's a 40% chance of showers, mainly after 1 pm.
