1 Reyes 5:1-12: (Por favor leer en su biblia los versos o el capitulo completo.)

v.7 "Aconteció que cuando Hiram oyó las palabras de Salomón, se alegró muchísimo y dijo: “¡Bendito sea hoy el SEÑOR, que ha dado un hijo sabio a David sobre ese pueblo tan numeroso!”. "

Ayer vimos como Salomón se fue convirtiendo en un hombre de gran influencia en medio de los reyes y pueblos que lo rodeaban. Se hizo un rey fuerte, estable, apoderado y sabio. Hubo abundancia en Israel y también paz.
Aquí vemos una nueva etapa en las hazañas de Salomón. Él siente que ya es el tiempo de comenzar la obra más importante y magna que le fue encomendada: construir el templo a su Dios. Y para poder llegar a este punto, tuvo que pasar algunos años después de haberse establecido como rey y líder de la región.
En este proceso Salomón estableció los recursos necesarios para que su pueblo no sufriera necesidad, construyó su casa y se ganó el favor de las naciones que lo rodeaban. Salomón los dominó solamente con su influencia. Esto nos muestra que las promesas del Señor se van cumpliendo de forma gradual. Que es una combinación entre la disposición de cada persona y la gracia que Dios pone en el corazón.
Salomón, con un poco más de edad y madurez, decidió cumplir el deseo de su padre David de construir el templo que el Señor no le permitió, Dios pidió que el templo lo construyera su hijo Salomón.
Ten en cuenta esta lección. Dios cumple sus promesas, y se irán desarrollando y manifestando a medida que somos fieles y estamos listos para recibir la bendición y para cumplir la misión que el Señor nos ha concedido.

La otra lección es para los padres y sus hijos. No es en vano todo lo que sembramos en ellos. Así como el rey sirio pudo ver que Dios había puesto un sucesor muy sabio para que reemplazara a David, así mismo veremos en las acciones de nuestro hijos cuando sean grandes todo lo que les instruimos.
También vemos que, como hijos, nosotros somos los que, con nuestras decisiones, los representamos dignamente. Nuestra forma de hablar, de interactuar, de comportarnos, dice mucho de la crianza de nuestros padres o de las personas con las que crecemos y son influencia en nosotros cuando somos jóvenes.
Salomón conocía de este principio bíblico: “El hijo sabio alegra al padre, pero el hijo necio es tristeza de su madre.” (Proverbios 10:1).
Así que, sigue creyendo al Señor, sé perseverante, y también no olvides que nuestros hijos son un reflejo de nosotros, así como Salomón representó a su padre dignamente.

1 Kings 5: God fulfilled and answered prayer.

1 Kings 5:1-12:
Now Hiram king of Tyre sent his servants to Solomon, because he heard that they had anointed him king in place of his father, for Hiram had always loved David. Then Solomon sent to Hiram, saying: You know how my father David could not build a house for the name of the Lord his God because of the wars which were fought against him on every side, until the Lord put his foes under the soles of his feet. But now the Lord my God has given me rest on every side; there is neither adversary nor evil occurrence. And behold, I propose to build a house for the name of the Lord my God, as the Lord spoke to my father David, saying, “Your son, whom I will set on your throne in your place, he shall build the house for My name.” Now therefore, command that they cut down cedars for me from Lebanon; and my servants will be with your servants, and I will pay you wages for your servants according to whatever you say. For you know there is none among us who has skill to cut timber like the Sidonians. So it was, when Hiram heard the words of Solomon, that he rejoiced greatly and said, Blessed be the Lord this day, for He has given David a wise son over this great people! Then Hiram sent to Solomon, saying: I have considered the message which you sent me, and I will do all you desire concerning the cedar and cypress logs. My servants shall bring them down from Lebanon to the sea; I will float them in rafts by sea to the place you indicate to me, and will have them broken apart there; then you can take them away. And you shall fulfill my desire by giving food for my household.
Then Hiram gave Solomon cedar and cypress logs according to all his desire. And Solomon gave Hiram twenty thousand kors of wheat as food for his household, and twenty kors of pressed oil. Thus Solomon gave to Hiram year by year. So the Lord gave Solomon wisdom, as He had promised him; and there was peace between Hiram and Solomon, and the two of them made a treaty together.

Yesterday we saw how Solomon gradually became a man of great influence in the midst of the kings and peoples that surrounded him. He became a strong, stable, empowered and wise king. There was abundance in Israel and also peace.
Here we see a new stage in Solomon's feats. He felt that it was time to start the most important and great work that was entrusted to him: build the temple of his God. And in order to get to this point, he had to spend a few years after having established himself as king and leader of the region.
In this process Solomon established the necessary resources so that his people did not suffer need, he built his house and earned the favor of the nations that surrounded him. Solomon dominated them with his influence alone. This shows us that the Lord's promises are being fulfilled gradually. Which is a combination between the disposition of each person and the grace that God places in the heart.
Solomon, with a little more age and maturity, decided to fulfill the desire of his father David to build the temple that the Lord did not allow him, God asked that the temple be built by his son Solomon.
Keep this lesson in mind. God keeps His promises, and they will develop and manifest as we are faithful and we are ready to receive the blessing and to fulfill the mission that the Lord has given us.

The other lesson is for parents and their children. It is not in vain that we sow in them. Just as the Syrian king could see that God had appointed a very wise successor to replace David, likewise we will see in the actions of our children when they grow up everything that we instruct them.
We also see that, as children, we are the ones who, with our decisions, represent them with dignity. Our way of speaking, of interacting, of behaving says a lot about the upbringing of our parents or the people with whom we grow up and influence us when we are young.
Solomon knew of this biblical principle: "A wise son makes a glad father, but a foolish son is the grief of his mother." (Proverbs 10:1).
So, keep believing in the Lord, be persevering, and also don't forget that our children are a reflection of us, just as Solomon represented his father with dignity.
