08 Main Subject Matters of the Quran p6
Lecture regarding the major subject matters the entirety of the Qur'aan returns to. This lecture continues regarding the evidences for Tawheed, for the right of Allaah to be worshipped alone, without partners. Lecture highlights the intellectual evidences for the right of Allaah to be worshipped alone, and the futility of the worship of false deities. 'O mankind! A similitude has been coined, so listen to it (carefully): Verily, those on whom you call besides Allâh, cannot create (even) a fly, even though they combine together for the purpose. And if the fly snatches away a thing from them, they will have no power to release it from the fly. So weak are (both) the seeker and the sought.'(Soorah al-Hajj 22:73)
Lecture content based on the works of Imaam Abdur-Rahmaan ibn Naasir as-Saadi (and his book 'Great Principles in the Explanation of the Qur'aan').
Delivered by Umar Quinn at the Islamic Center of Palm Beach, Ramadan 10th, 1436 (June 27,2015).
